I've decided to try to revive the blog. Its been quite some time since I actually sat down to write anything. I wish I hadbeen more diligent and written more about the adventures of our daily lives (Liam got pnuemonia, his first stitches, did awesome at the easter egg hunt, turned two, and surprised us by knowing the alphabet, shapes, and colors.) Liam continues to be a chatterbox and keeps us laughing with the things he says. We' spent the last few months of spring really enjoying our time together as a family of 3. Knowing his sister's arrival was just around the corner, I couldn't help but be nervous about the change that was coming to our family. We had settled into a fairly smooth rhythm to our days and Liam was really a joy. Were we about to change all this?!
A few days after my due date, we decided not to wait any longer for our lil' girl to arrive. We scheduled an induction and Lucy Anne Rosemeyer was born in the afternoon of June 1, 2011. She was 8lbs 7oz and 21.5 inches long. She was born with strawberry blond peach fuzzy hair and eyes that are turning bluer day by day.
Liam has been a really great big brother from the start. He's gentle and thoughtful, even testing out her crib at the hospital. In any case, they seem to get along well so far.
Lucy will be one month old at the end of the week. The days have flown by. She's been growing like crazy and is a great baby. While sleep is somewhat illusive, we are really lucky. I've included some photos from her first month below.
